Some people are very good are gaining an intellectual understanding of a topic and then teaching others. This is a good thing and we certainly need more good teachers.
In addition, some people are very good at inspiring others, to think differently, to feel differently, and to want to take action, and even change. This is a great thing and we certainly need as many great teachers as we can get.
Some people can both teach, and inspire others, based on their own personal knowledge and, most importantly, based on their own personal experiences. This is an extraordinary thing, and what the knowledge driven world needs today is extraordinary teachers.
The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is simply ‘extra’.
